This Saturday, 14th September, Gareth and I will be taking part in the Ultra Challenge Thames Bridges Trek again to fundraise for our beloved, Making The Leap! We will be walking 25km crossing 16 of London's bridges, alongside other members of the team, our alumni and supporters. #GoTeamMTL

At Making The Leap, as a social mobility charity, we transform the futures of young people from less-advantaged socio-economic backgrounds by providing training to raise their aspirations, develop their skills, confidence, and outlook and give them the chance to succeed in their chosen career. In addition to our direct delivery in London, we use what we learn to raise awareness of the importance of social mobility among UK businesses & organisations and encourage them to take action to improve it. We organise the UK Social Mobility Awards, host the Social Mobility Podcast and run Social Mobility Day.

As many of you know, Gareth and I have both worked at Making The Leap for nearly 20 years - it's where we met. Making The Leap is very close to our hearts, as we work with a brilliant team and there is not a day that goes by where we do not see or feel the impact of our work. We continue to be humbled by the amazing young people we support!
