Story
I am running the TCS London Marathon on 21 April 2024 in memory of my best friend Marina who died suddenly on 13th July 2023, at the young age of 29.
Marina suffered with epilepsy from the age of 14. She bravely never let it get in the way of all the things she wanted to do. This included many things. She travelled and lived in other countries, gained a distinction in her undergrad LLB and masters in international law, ran a half marathon for charity, volunteered at Kamiti Maximum Security Prison, teaching law to inmates so they were able to become defenders of justice and achieved her dream of obtaining a pupillage to become a barrister.
Marina was a very special person who connected with so many, which is why she made friends wherever she went all over the world.
Marina was taken from us so suddenly and without warning. She would want us to help others as she always did, by raising awareness of the effects of epilepsy and how this can impact others.
