Story
"Don't ever stop smiling, because when the smile you always knew is taken away from you, you only wish you smiled more" - Daisy (1995-2020)
Daisy really was quite a remarkable young woman; fiercely determined, brave and someone who always put others first.
Daisy’s battle with cancer led to a radical, life-altering 16-hour surgery to reconstruct her tongue. For a talented athlete, teacher, and foodie, the personal cost was immeasurable, she lost the very things that brought her joy. Yet, in the midst of this trauma, Daisy’s only thought was gratitude. She estimated her care at the Royal Marsden cost £200,000 and she desperately wanted to help cover those costs for others. Today, we are fundraising to fulfill that wish.
I will be completing the Emilia Romagna Ironman which consists of a 3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42km run.
Please help support me in fundraising to continue Daisy's vision by raising much-needed funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
