Story
In 2017, my sister and I lost our incredible Dad, Tony, to an aggressive brain tumour after a two-year battle.
My Dad was the most amazing man, and the best built-in best friend I could ever have asked for. He had the biggest heart, a laugh you could hear from a mile away, and time for everyone. There was rarely a day I didn’t see him smiling ear to ear — he was love and happiness personified, and we miss him more every day.
My love for running comes straight from my Dad, who had a passion for health and fitness, and took on various fitness challenges throughout his life; one of those included completing five marathons in five days, without ever having run one before, all to support a close friend. It feels only fitting that I channel my inner Tony B by running the Manchester Marathon in support of Brain Tumour Research, and in honour of my lovely Dad and best friend.
Brain Tumour Research is a charity incredibly close to my heart. Any donation, big or small, and any support you can offer would mean the world and help support the vital work they do.
Thank you so much!
