In 2022 my daughter joined Epsom Riding for the Disabled Association as a rider and I joined shortly after to help out with the gardening.

In 2023, myself and a team of volunteers undertook the gargantuan task of renovating a very run down Sensory Track at Epsom RDA.

The Sensory Track is the pride and joy of all those involved in the project. The participants ride across a field to reach the Track, which gives them a sense of riding in the countryside. On reaching the Track, they are met with an array of colourful planters, obstacles and different track textures, which is particularly beneficial to our visually impaired riders.

The maintenance of the Sensory Track, whilst incredibly rewarding, is very time consuming and the grass is very thick. We desperately need a ride-on mower so we can keep the grass under control, which will in turn free us up to keep on top of the endless weeding and making sure our blooms are happy all year round.

I will be running 5km every day during the month of February to try and raise as much as possible towards the purchase of a new ride-on mower. If you would like to make a donation, I and the Sensory Track gardeners would be so grateful.
