Story
Many thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Following the success of the last few year’s display which raised over £1,000 together with the previous year total of £5,000, we decided that this year we would again fundraise for the Great Western Air Ambulance.
Why? Fortunately, although we have not needed the services of the air ambulance ourselves we often watch the air ambulance programmes on the TV and easily recognise its importance. We realised the large support they need to raise, just to put the chopper in the air typically costs £2000 each mission. In the first 10 months of 2025 they had completed 1973 missions.
During the last 36 months, our papier mache half sized helicopter was damaged because of the weather and now Jon has successfully managed to restore it to its former glory, including several new additional surprises.
Yes, literally every day is a Christmas day in our household!
We would certainly not have been able to do this without the help of our lovely friends, especially Tara along with Rose, Christmas Vee Dubs, Grace, Andy, Nic, Kate, Jenna, Sarah, Rosie and the boys. Thank you. An additional thanks goes to, Greggs (Clevedon), Coffee#1 (Clevedon) and Jennys (Clevedon) and our neighbours for the all year round collection of milk bottles.
The helicopter and train has been installed, lights plugged in, rotors and wheels switched on, and cleared for take off and departure. We will be very pleased to see you in Brookfield Walk.
Updated photos will be put up as soon as we can.
Jon and Lucy would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
