In May last year, I was found unconscious in my university accommodation due to meningitis, luckily I was found in time. I was in Liverpool Royal University Hospital for two weeks and received exceptional care which led to me making a full recovery.

In September, I am taking on the Great North Run to raise funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation. The foundation is committed to defeating meningitis by 2030, spreading awareness of the symptoms and supporting those affected by this illness.

Meningitis can strike anyone at any time. I want to help raise awareness for this illness as it is crucial to act quick before it’s too late. Your support will help the foundation continue their amazing work in saving lives.
