The Route 2026
Campaign by Cure Leukaemia (RCN 1100154)
The Route will see a team of female amateur cyclists, take on the world’s most iconic cycling challenge by riding all stages of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift route, just one day ahead of the professionals in the Summer 2026.

Story

I work as a doctor in the UK and Kenya, and I see first-hand the devastation leukaemia brings to families—alongside the immense bravery of those fighting it. For me, this became much more personal three years ago when my gorgeous, courageous god-daughter, Coco, was diagnosed with leukaemia.

Thanks to incredible advances in science and research, Coco was offered access to a new drug trial. Today, she is in remission. That outcome would not have been possible without organisations like Cure Leukaemia, and without people choosing to give just something to support this research.

In August 2026, I’ll take on a daunting yet exciting challenge: The Route—cycling every stage of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, one day ahead of the professional peloton, as part of a team of amateur women cyclists. This is 1,175 km and 18,795 meters climbing (over twice the height of Everest!) in 8 days.

This journey isn’t just about physical endurance. Every pound raised will go directly to Cure Leukaemia, the official UK charity partner of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. Your support will help fund the groundbreaking ATICUS Network, which is breaking down barriers to clinical trial access for children with blood cancer—bringing hope to families like Coco’s across the UK.

My training will be challenging: living in Kenya means I won’t have the bike, terrain or tarmac that we will have for the event. The climbs will be steep and the days long. But for every summit I attempt, I’m reminded that Coco has already faced far tougher climbs—and conquered them.

If you’re able to sponsor me, please give whatever you can: Perhaps together we can Cure Leukaemia.

Thank you for being part of this journey. 💙🚴‍♀️
