Snowdon 6 · 11 May 2024

East Cheshire Hospice provides essential care, support and compassion to local adults facing life limiting illnesses. We rely on fundraising to pay for over 80% of our daily costs, and so you can be sure your support will make a huge difference to our patients, their families and loved ones.

Story

There are 6 main routes up Snowdon, the challenge is to go up and down 3 times using each route only once!

We will start by going up the famous Watkins Path, then down Snowdon Rangers path, up Rhyd ddu, down Miners, up the Pyg and finally down the Llanberis track.

The challenge will be approximately 25 miles and over 9500ft (2900m) ascent.

We aim to do this in one day.

East Cheshire Hospice is a charity thats is close to our hearts. Hospices are only funded 20% by the government and the other 80% is people raising funds for these wonderful places.

Lucy’s mother lived the last months of her life in the hospice and the family have been supported by the Hospice for years.

In recent months the hospice have supported a close family member. Once again having seen the amazing work the hospice do its kicked us into gear to fundraise again for them.

Lucy has previously raised close to £9000 pounds for them on a challenge that lasted 88 days. The aim was to raise 1 days running costs which is £7500.

Our challenge will take place on 11th May 2024 - we will be documenting the challenge on our Instagram profiles - @lucy.does.trigs & @morris_on_a_mountain

We wanted to give back and raise more funds for the amazing charity.
