Story

I cannot believe 6 weeks today I am running the Sydney Marathon 🇦🇺🏃🏼♀️the training journey has been a rollercoaster, and harder than I ever could have imagined- runners knee is no joke and my toenails may never recover- but I am determined to complete it and to raise some money for a wonderful cause.. I am so proud to be running for The Hospice of St Francis 💜💚
Most people will know the Hospice of St Francis holds a dear place in my heart. It is a truly special place where every single member of staff and volunteer spends their days making sure their patients days are filled with dignity and compassion, and every penny raised helps to protect that care for the community now and for future generations.
Please give what you can; the smallest amounts add up to offer something amazing!
💜 £10 could fund ten safe blood collection sets for patients on our Inpatient Unit
💚£33 could fund one hour of rehabilitation to improve mobility and promote independence
💜£50 pays for an outpatient appointment with a consultant in palliative medicine
💚£108 could fund four home visits by a specialist palliative care assistant (including travel costs)
💜£600 could pay for a family support worker for a whole week
💚£1,000 could pay for a full time specialist palliative care nurse who is trained to prescribe for more than one week
💜If you can’t donate, please consider giving your time. There are a huge number of ways you can give your time as a volunteer!
Thank you so much 🩷
