Story

The Rehab Rowers (Team NRC) are taking part in Nottingham Hospitals Charity's Dragon Boat Race 2026. Your support will help make a difference to patients and their families across Nottingham's Hospitals.

We are a multidisciplinary team working within the rehabilitation service, bringing together physiotherapists, case managers, occupational therapists, nurses, advanced clinical practitioners, medics, and management staff. We work closely with patients recovering from serious illness and injury.

Every day, we see first-hand the difference that high-quality rehabilitation and compassionate care can make. From helping patients regain independence after life-changing events to supporting families through difficult journeys, our work is both challenging and deeply rewarding. It also shows us how vital additional resources, specialist equipment, and patient-focused initiatives are in improving recovery and wellbeing.

That’s why we are raising money for Nottingham Hospitals Charity. The funds will go towards enhancing the rehabilitation environment including our new patient lounges where friends and family can visit patients in a relaxing environment that go beyond standard NHS provision—things that truly make a difference to patient experience and outcomes.

As a team, we are passionate about the care we provide and the people we support. By fundraising together, we hope to give back to the service and help ensure that patients continue to receive the best possible rehabilitation and support on their journey to recovery.
