I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance. I chose this charity for 3 reasons:

1. My friend’s son, who sadly died suddenly aged 20, was a keen supporter.

2. It’s a very necessary cause, funded solely by donations.

3. My Rock Choir is building an ongoing relationship with Air Ambulance and I would like to support this.

Air Ambulance say:

We are Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex. Every day we respond to nine emergency calls on average, giving people the best chance of survival. Our helicopters are flying emergency rooms. When there’s a life-or-death call, we bring specialised doctors, paramedics and treatment to the scene, fast. And we don’t stop 24/7, 365 days a year.  But without you, we can’t get off the ground. Your donations get our lifesaving team to where they’re urgently needed. Without you, we can’t keep keep flying.
