I'm running the York 10k in August because I want to support the amazing work of the RSPCA York, Harrogate & District Branch, who never give up on a re-homeable animal.

Animals come in to them in three main ways: Brought in by inspectors after the animals have been rescued from a unfit environment; handed over by owners who can no longer meets the needs of their pet and animals that are found injured or abandoned brought in by concerned members of the public.

The York Animal Home, are an independent charity and primarily self funded. The money they spend on our work at the home is raised in York, Harrogate and surrounding areas.

They rehome on average 400 animals a year into their forever homes. I see first hand the amazing work this branch continues to do every day, which is why I have chosen to run for them😊

Every single pound donated helps them rescue and rehabilitate animals which need it the most🩷
