This charity means so much to me personally and to so many. You have no idea how much running the Royal Parks Half for Woman’s Aid will heal my heart and soul.

Many of you know and have supported me on my personal journey during and overcoming Domestic Violence. For those of you that do not know I endured 2.5 years of violence from my ex partner followed by a horrific 2.5 year criminal court fight, an 18 month family court fight, a 2 week devastating trial whereby my abuser was given a 23 year sentence for what he did to me and he will serve 18 years minimum.

I am the 1 in 3 women who experience Domestic Violence. I will be running not just for myself but for everyone hurt by this, for those who spoke up, those who didn’t, those who couldn’t, those who were ignored, not believed or just didn’t have ‘enough evidence’, and for those who have lost their lives at the hands of their abuser or as a result of taking their own lives as a means of escape.

For over 50 years, Women’s Aid have provided life-saving support to women escaping abusive relationships. By fundraising, I am supporting their mission to empower more survivors to find safer, brighter futures.
