Barnsley Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care to adults in Barnsley living with a progressive life-limiting illness, and the people close to them.

They need to raise £3.5 million each year to continue their services, and it’s because of their incredible supporters who take on challenges like this that they can achieve this total.

Barnsley Hospice cared for my mum in the last few weeks of her life and I really don’t know what I would have done without them. The picture shown above was the last time my daughter and my mum saw each other for my daughter’s 10th birthday. The hospice made this such a positive experience for all of us by organising a little party within the visitors area. This is just one of the amazing things they did in my mums last few weeks and words can never be enough to show my eternal gratitude for these angels on earth. I will continue to do anything I can to help keep this service available, not just for patients but for their loved ones too.
