Race completed!! In warmer-than-hoped-for conditions (25 degrees), I finished the 10K. Very pleased to have done it, and very grateful for all the generous donations, which will make a real difference to women being supported at Watford Women's Centre. Thank you!

I'm running the Bognor Prom 10K road race in May to raise money for Watford Women's Centre and am asking you to please sponsor me! 10K may not be a big distance for some, but for me it really is. An accident and its ensuing myriad complications has meant I'm not quite at peak fitness. I will be running the whole 10K and will be spurred on by the fantastic work being done by my colleagues at Watford Women's Centre. 1 in 4 women will experience Domestic Abuse at some point in their lives, and police receive a call related to DA every 30 seconds. I know times are tough and any donation will be hugely appreciated. This gives you an idea of where your money could go:

£50 - £100 - Would cover the costs of specialist personal development courses that demonstrate excellent outcomes for women leaving domestic abuse situations.

£20 - Could prevent a woman experiencing domestic abuse from having a mental health crisis by providing one hour of therapeutic counselling.

£15 - Could help one woman gain independence and confidence by paying the registration fee for one of our many training courses.
