Last year, on a bit of a whim, I entered the London Marathon ballot, never really expecting to get a place. The odds were slim — but I got a place!! With my 50th birthday just four days before the race, I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone…
There are so many incredible charities doing important work, and choosing just one to support wasn’t easy. I felt drawn to a lesser-known charity after meeting the inspiring woman who runs it. Her sons live with this disease, and through her own journey she has created a support network and charity dedicated to helping other children and adults facing the same challenges.
Just like my “lucky” ballot place, maybe this was meant to be…
