Lucy's Great Glencoe Challenge

Lucy Moore is raising money for RASASH

Great Glencoe Challenge · 5 July 2025

We provide free, confidential support to survivors of sexual violence age 13+ in Highland, including to their non-abusing friends, family, and partners. We also work towards the prevention and elimination of sexual violence through training, awareness raising, and campaigning.

Story

In July I will be walking the Great Glencoe Challenge, a 26.2 mile 'trekathon' to fundraise for RASASH, a specialist service in the Scottish Highlands for survivors of sexual violence.

Rural communities present additional challenges when it comes to accessing support (e.g. transport, service provision) so the work of charities such as RASASH in offering in-person support and criminal justice advocacy is so important.

Last year I had an insight into the difficulties some people face, and I have been determined to do a little something to help.

Although I have been involved in walking challenges in the past, I haven't walked this far since I was 16, so will definitely need to build up the fitness and endurance needed for 26.2 miles in under 12 hours on Highlands terrain!

Thank you in advance for any kind donations.

Lucy
