Story
On the 26th August 2024 we were given the devastating news that our daughter, Pippa, had a brain tumour. 1 month away from her second birthday.
We were taken into a side room and delivered the unthinkable news that we would need to be taken by ambulance to Birmingham Children’s hospital to their neurology ward.
What followed was the hardest and most heartbreaking week of our lives. We had to navigate 3 surgeries, 3 days in intensive care and not knowing what was going to happen hour to hour.
Our story is not over but we have had an incredible amount of support from all the staff at the children’s hospital and we will always owe them for saving our daughter’s life. She continues to recover on the high dependency ward at BCH.
This page is donations for all of our family who are undertaking the 62 miles!
Family and friends have been asking what they can do to support and raising money for this fantastic hospital will mean that more children with serious illnesses and their families can be supported in the way that we have. Throughout October - our family have decided join others in walking 62 miles across the month to fundraise for the hospital.
At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, we believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids and that’s why we will always strive to do more for our patients and families. It’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital.
Your support empowers us to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.
