In November 2025, exactly one week after giving birth to my Son Ruairi, I suffered a cardiac arrest while at home.

Without the response of so many different people including my Mam who started CPR, the rapid response paramedic who was on scene in minutes, the air ambulance that was mobilised, the resus and the ICU team at NSECH, the outcome would of been a completely different story.

Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) is an amazing charity that relies entirely on charitable donations, it provides a life-saving helicopter to deliver rapid medical care to those who are critically ill across the North East of England.

For that reason, next September a group of us will be running the GNR to raise as much money possible for the GNAAS.
