Story
On 6th July I will be stepping on a stage to try my hand at Stand Up Comedy. Yes, really. Why? I am not exactly sure but I have wanted to stretch myself this year and learn a new skill.
Well, thats not quite exactly true. The real reason is that I clicked a button and the next thing I knew was that I accidentely signed up to a charity comedy event that just so happens to be on my 35th wedding anniversary. My husband doesn't know how I did this but he is laughing already - well that might change when I get on stage!
I am raising money for The Brightwell. This is an incredible place with a community that cares about making life better. Our office base for Inclusive Change is within this community who have been so incredibly welcoming since we joined them in 2024. We see on a daily basis what a difference the team make.
Their mission is to provide a comprehensive range of therapies, services, information and support for anyone affected by a neurological condition such as multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia or stroke recovery.
Therapies are provided in a purpose built Centre based in North Bristol, Bradley Stoke, where we have created a friendly environment that aims to help reduce the physical, emotional and psychological effects of a life with a neurological condition.
We are less than 1% statutory funded and therefore we continuously fundraise to be here.
