Once again The Oval Partnership are raising funds for Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice.

We have entered our Head Hunt Heroes team to take part in The Samworth Charity Challenge 2026 on Saturday 16th May 2026. It's an exhilarating & gruelling adventure race for teams of four, where you are required to plan and navigate your way around the course in order to collect points.

The event is held every 2 years and will see our team pushed to the limits on a triathalon course which includes Mountain, Canoe & Cycle stages over 9 hours and will be held near Castleton in the Peak District.

That sounds easy right? Wrong! this isn't a walk in the park. There are 2 difficulties to choose from, Tough and Elite and we know from past experience they are not for the faint hearted. But the charity that we support makes this challenge worthwhile.

Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. They support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes.

Their support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family; including overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much more.

It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. Statutory funding makes up 16% of this amount and the rest is raised through fundraising.
