Story

Sheila’s Challenge May 2025 🚲

We are doing a sponsored cycle challenge in May 2025 in memory of Sheila, who died in July 2023.

She was an extraordinary woman who was passionate about many things but one of her greatest loves was music, a love that stayed with her throughout her life and gave her much joy.

Help Musicians is a charity for professional musicians, offering them support both in working life and into retirement. It seeks not only to help in times of crisis, but also in periods of opportunity. It aims to contribute to a society where music is allowed to thrive. We know Sheila would be full of admiration for the work Help Musicians do.

We have chosen to do a cycle ride because Sheila treasured her daily commute to work through the streets of London by bike. We will be cycling from the base of Mont-Ventoux (up and over 1909m of mountain) to Sainte Maxime in the South - approximately 500km in 5 days.

Please give generously and if you’d like to follow our progress or attend any of our fundraising events give us a follow on instagram for updates @sheilaschallenge
