Story
This September, I’m taking part in the QEF 10k Fun Run/Walk, and I’m not just doing it for the challenge — I’m doing it to make a real difference.
Over the last year QEF has worked with over 10,000 disabled adults and children, supporting them in gaining new skills and increased independence.
There are 16m disabled people in the UK. Every 90 seconds someone is admitted into hospital with an acquired brain injury. In the next 20 years, the rate of first-time strokes in people 45+ is expected to rise by 59%.
I'm raising funds to support the amazing work of Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation, which helps people with disabilities gain independence, access vital services, and rebuild their lives. Every step I take in this 10k is dedicated to helping those who need it most — and I’d be grateful to have your support.
