Cycling 800 Miles from Melrose to Dublin

In March 2026, a team from Dollar Academy, supported by our catering partner Thomas Franks, will take on Doddie's Triple Crown 2026 – an epic 800-mile cycling challenge from Melrose to Dublin over just four days. We'll be pedaling through Scotland, England, Wales, and Ireland, finishing at the Aviva Stadium in time for the Scotland vs Ireland Six Nations match.

We're riding to raise vital funds for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, which supports research into Motor Neurone Disease. This devastating condition affects thousands of families, including Dollar families, and every pound we raise will help fund research to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. Dollar Academy proudly hosted an overnight stop during Doddie's Grand Tour 2025; now we're taking our support to the next level by putting our own team on the road.

Our diverse team includes the Rector, a governor, two members of staff, four pupils, one parent, and a former pupil from Dollar Academy, alongside representatives from Thomas Franks.

We're aiming to raise £50,000. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to that goal and supports crucial research that could change lives.
