Story
In March 2023, I unexpectedly lost one of my best friends, Charlotte Fox, to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). Charlotte and I shared every stage of life together — through pre-school, primary, secondary, sixth form and until university. She was more than a friend; she was family.
Charlotte absolutely hated running, so in true ironic fashion, I’ll be running not one, but two half marathons this spring — the London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Plymouth Half Marathon — in her memory. 💜🧡
I’m raising money for the Epilepsy Society, a charity that means a lot to everyone who loved Charlotte. It’s a cause close to our hearts, and fittingly, its colour is purple — the national colour for epilepsy awareness, and Charlotte’s favourite too. 🐱💜
More than anything, I hope to make Charlotte proud, and to help raise funds for this incredible charity so they can support more people like her, and work towards better understanding, treatment, and ultimately, prevention of epilepsy-related deaths.
Thank you so much for any donation — no matter the size, it truly makes a difference.
I love and miss you always, Charlotte. 💜🧡🦊
