We improve children's lives by providing volunteers to give one-to-one reading practice to children in primary schools. We want to give every child the chance to learn to read well, and reach their full potential. Help us reach more children by getting involved, donating or volunteering.

Story

In 2021 I lost my mum to breast cancer. She was an amazing teacher and took great pride in teaching children to read. Schoolreaders were the charity we designated for people to make donations to at her funeral. The charity provides volunteers to primary schools to give one-to-one reading support. Their aims fitted so perfectly with her ideals that I have been supporting them ever since.

On 17th August I will be taking part in the London Royal Parks Challenge with my Kindred teammates to raise more money for Schoolreaders. The challenge starts in Bushy Park, and we will be walking approx 45-50km in one day, visiting 10 Royal Parks along the way, before finishing at Greenwich Park.

Any donations will be gratefully received. I would love to raise as much money as possible for this wonderful charity, with mum being the focus as I put one foot in front of another.
