Story
I am running in the Royal Parks Marathon to remember Allegra who we lost in 2015 aged just 16. A friend made me start running after we lost Allegra and it has helped me enormously. I run for Allegra and for everyone else who can no longer run.
The Compassionate Friends was a lifeline for me at that time and I went on to run a group for bereaved parents for 6 years for them, as well as offering companion support. The charity supports parents grieving the loss of a child of any age. Using peer to peer support they offer a helpline, support groups nationwide and retreats for those whose child has died by any cause. Noone understands child loss like other bereaved parents.
I would be so grateful for any donations towards the work that they do. For more information please go to our website, www.tcf.org.uk.
