Story
Julian House is a charity based in the South West that supports people in crisis to take their next steps towards independence and security – whether they are sleeping rough, escaping domestic abuse, re-starting their life as a refugee or at risk of homelessness on leaving prison.
We are taking part in this walk around Bath to help fundraise for Julian House, with the hope that we can make a direct impact on people who are facing a really difficult period in their lives.
Julian House offers a person-centred and trauma-informed approach, meaning that every client gets the support they need to take positive steps forward in their life – what ever their start point - whatever their destination.
£50 - could provide meals for one person staying at an emergency hostel for 2 weeks.
£100 - could provide a basic move-on kit including kitchen utensils, bedcovers etc. for someone who is ready to move on to independent living.
£700 - could pay for one person with experience of domestic abuse to access a 12-week educative group programme so that they can exit their abusive situation and avoid abusive relationships in future.
