To raise funds for the amazing charity Mencap, at the end of June 2024, I am thrilled to be taking on one of the ultimate challenges and swimming the English Channel from Dover to France!! Along with 5 close friends, we have formed a relay team that will set out from Dover and swim one hour at a time in rotation until we reach France!

We began training together in October 2023 and it has been intense! Our coach has been pushing us hard with rigorous training sessions that include timed pool swims, cold open water tests (sub 12°c), night swims and technique drills, but I am loving every minute of it and enjoying spending so much time in the water 💙.

This challenge is tough, we will be swimming in skins (swimming costume only), a swim cap and a pair of goggles and need to maintain a fast pace to get ahead of the tide. The endeavour requires discipline, commitment, fitness as well as mental toughness and resilience 💪🏼💪🏼!
