Story

2024 marks 200 years of lifesaving for the RNLI - as we commemorate all those brave volunteers who have gone before, celebrate our crews of today and hopefully inspire the next generation of lifesavers, I wanted to make a difference in whatever way I can.

I’m running because the volunteer crews run to save lives, because the lifeguards run to save lives - if my running 26.2miles inspires you to support we will be raising vital funds to ensure there are always volunteers and lifeguards able to run to save lives for the next 200 years.

I joined the RNLI because of my grandparents and 2024 will mark 22 years since my Mum ran the London Marathon. 2 days after she ran my Grandad passed away unexpectedly but he had made sure he watched the video of Mum running, on repeat, the day before. So the London Marathon has always been intrinsically linked for me with Grandad and part of my marathon will be honouring his memory and his role in inspiring me to become a part of the RNLI

Please support if you can and thank you so much
