Story
This year I will be running the London marathon in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
This charity is very close to me and my family after the death of my twin sister, Hannah. Hannah died suddenly on February 17th, 2007, at only 7 years old during our family ski holiday from a sudden electrical imbalance causing a ventricular arrhythmia. CRY helped my family through the loss, providing valuable clinical and emotional support.
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death by working to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities. By supporting CRY, you will help save young lives for these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
Any support towards this charity would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Lucy xx
