Story
It has been a privilege gathering a group from across the school community – teachers, leaders, estate team, cleaners as well as families of Ludgrove staff. It is testament to the strong and close community at Ludgrove that we have come together to support the School and its boys.
An intrepid team of Ludgrove Legends is taking on the Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the Ludgrove Foundation.
:
On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May the team will scale the three highest peaks in Great Britain - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in Wales - all in just 24 hours.
:
This huge challenge is being undertaken to raise funds for the excellent work of the Ludgrove Foundation, including Transformational Bursaries and projects to enhance and improve the School’s facilities and its support of local primary and secondary schools.
:
The team has been training hard during the Easter holidays to prepare for the gruelling day which will start at 6.30am in Scotland and finish the next morning at the foot of Snowdon. During the 24 hour adventure, the group of 11 will walk 37km over 13 hours, ascend a total of 3,064m and drive for 11 hours to get to each peak.
:
Team Leader and Ludgrove teacher, Oli Parker, said: “It has been a privilege gathering a group from across the school community – teachers, leaders, estate team, cleaners as well as families of Ludgrove staff. It is testament to the strong and close community at Ludgrove that we have come together to support the School and its boys."
