We are raising money in memory of my mum who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in her early 50s.

Caring for someone with dementia, you lose a bit of them day by day. My family and I have lost my mum again and again over 10 long years.

It's so important for me to raise awareness of all types of dementia (not just Alzheimer's) and help raise money to help fund nurses for families going through the same nightmare! I hate people thinking dementia is just old people being a 'bit forgetful' or saying 'funny' things out of context when it is a very cruel illness for which a cure can' t be found soon enough!
