In February 2023, our family was crushed. Our beloved dad passed away. Dad was diagnosed with Dementia “officially” after suffering a stroke in August 2022, though we suspect the dementia started earlier, the stroke definitely saw dads decline become more rapid. Dad spent the final 7 months of his life between hospital and care homes, and never returned home.

After losing our amazing mum, Anita in 2019, losing dad meant for the first time in my life, I felt alone. My brothers and I are taking this walk in memory of dad, but also our mum. We hope to support the charity in raising as much money as possible, for all those suffering this terrible disease, and for their family members.
