Meningitis Now is the first meningitis patient group in the world, founders of the meningitis movement and the only charity dedicated to fighting meningitis in the UK. Since 1986, they have invested over £12.7m in early stage research. As we approach their 40th Anniversary in 2026, I am inspired to take action.

I am running in the London Marathon on April 26, 2026, for my sister who bravely battled bacterial meningococcal meningitis at just 13 years old in 2013. The impact of this disease has been profound and devastating for her and our family. It has been heart-wrenching to witness her struggles since that day.

The funds I raise will be crucial in supporting Meningitis Now's mission to increase awareness of the signs and symptoms of this disease—it's not just about the glass test! Your contributions will also help fund vital research into meningitis and provide essential resources such as counselling and adaptive equipment for those whose lives have been forever changed by this illness.
