7 years ago, I lost my mum.

As a young bloke who'd never experienced grief as an adult, I didn't know how to process my emotions. What to say, who to say it to, how to say it.

I suffered with my mental health for 9 months without anyone knowing - instead turning to alcohol, gambling & silence to deal with my emotions.

I wasn't happy - but every area of support felt out of reach.

I broke down when I was drunk, spoke to some close friends and found out that they were also struggling with their own things.

How many blokes were suffering in silence?

I started Two Pints Deep on Instagram to help break barriers to support and provide accessible resource for blokes just like me.

The average man.

Now we are a registered charity as of February 2022, with 2 full time members of staff, a Trustee board of 5 members and volunteers across the country - determined to bring signposting, resource & education into the environments men already are, in their language and de-stigmatising further conversation.

We run free-to-attend events across the country that men ACTUALLY want to attend & campaigns that feel relatable & real.

It hasn't always been plain sailing - I went a full 10 months without a salary to my name when launching it, then took a part time salary for a further 4 months whilst working full time to try and get things off the ground - all because I believe in this.

I believe men need so much more, there are still huge gaps in the journey to support despite more conversation.

I believe we can provide a grass roots solution to this, working hand-in-hand with communities, non profits and organisations to create nets that catch people before they fall.

So I would ask you to believe in us - and support us as a young charity with big aspirations.

This money raised will go directly to putting on large events in all 4 countries across the United Kingdom to bring this conversation to them, and provide funds to keep the community groups that prop up the ground work going.
