When picking a cause to raise for it had to be something that truly makes a difference. Alcohol and drug addiction is rife in Teesside and is something that has affected my own family and countless others. The consequences of addiction devastates families and ruins the best people. People with addictive personalities have some of the most untapped potential on earth, the results are scary when an abusive addiction is channelled in a positive direction of self improvement and uncovering potential.

How am I going to raise awareness?

Running 110 hard miles.

The race is the Hardmoors 110, running from Filey to Helmsley. The course has over 16500ft of elevation and a 36 hour cut off time. This is my first 100 mile race, I find a deep thrill in pushing myself to the absolute limits to find my own potential.
