Brighton Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·

We believe everyone should have the right to a full and active social life and so we support people with learning disabilities, and autistic people, to fight for the right to party. Our main project is Gig Buddies which matches people up with a volunteer who shares the same cultural passions.

Story

This April, I’m running my first marathon to support the incredible Gig Buddies project, led by the charity Stay Up Late.

Gig Buddies connects people with learning disabilities and/or autism with volunteers, pairing them up to attend gigs and other mainstream cultural events together—all while building a meaningful friendship. This amazing initiative tackles social isolation and empowers people to take control of their social lives.

Your support can make a massive difference! Every donation (no matter how small) helps cover essential costs like gig tickets, travel expenses, volunteer training, and much more!
