I have fought cancer twice at the age of 22, young lives vs cancer (clic sargeant) helped me and my family.
Little back story… I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in October 2014, I had my right testicle (tumour) removed and a false one put in. I was under surveillance as the cancer had been found early.
In February 2015 my test results from surveillance shown the worst… the cancer had spread to my lymph node glands in my abdomen stage 2A.
So intense 9 week BEP chemotherapy started, and my journey actually began.
I’m now living life at the age of 32 cancer free.
I will share more of my story if people want a more in depth conversation.
When a child/young adult is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
