Story
I've been working at The Mulberry Bush Charity for nearly 2 years and have been blown away by the incredible impact it has transforming the lives of all those affected by childhood trauma. The passion and skill of our staff, across all services, is inspirational. At a recent 'Ex-Pupil's Day' I had the privilege of talking to people who used to attend our School and many said that it had completely changed their lives.
I am running The London Marathon to help support the charity and to give something back.
Selfishly, it is also a bit of a life intervention for me. Since beginning my training I've lost 4 stone and am now running 100km a month. Back in October, when I started, I weighed nearly 19 stone and couldn't run for 1 minute. So, I suppose I am also transforming my own life.
It's been a real challenge, but nothing compared to what our children have been through. So please, If you can spare anything, I'd hugely appreciate your support.
