Story

Thank you for helping to raise funds for Age UK. Age UK is the country's leading charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. The aim of this fundraiser is to promote awareness of, and raise money to improve, accessibility and home adaptations for the elderly.

Three serving members of the Armed Forces will push a 100kg Atlas Stone across over 10-miles of undulating terrain in the Pennines Mountain Range. The 515m climb will illustrate the uphill battle which is often associated with getting older.

The 'Atlas Stone' gets its name from the Greek Titan, Atlas, who is condemned to hold up the heavens for all eternity. This show of strength demonstrates the responsibility held by our generation to support our elderly and provide them the strength they need to live a more accessible life.
