Story
I’m competing in a UWCB boxing event on April 6th 2024 to raise donations for MIND ‘We're Mind, the mental health charity. We're here to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.’
If you would like to donate or share follow the link below. Thank you.
Where does the money go for Mind charity?
We spend 83p in every pound supporting people with mental health problems. The rest goes towards running the organisation, including generating funds and planning for the future. Overall, we spent £56m in 2022 - 2023. This is on top of the £16.5m we spent on running 158 shops.
‘White Collar Boxing’ originated in New York in 1988, when a doctor and an attorney trained for a few weeks before boxing each other at a black-tie event. The term ‘white collar’ refers to ‘white collar workers’ or business professionals taking part, but now white collar boxing is the fastest growing contact sport in the world, with all different types of people taking part.
White Collar Boxing (WCB) began in 2010 holding events in Bromley at Oakley House in our first ever White Collar Boxing Show, making us one of the longest running White Collar Events in the UK.
