Luke's LLHM fundraiser for CALM

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) on Sunday 6th April 2025! 🏃🏻♂️
For those who know me, I’ve never been a runner - in fact, I’ve barely been a mover for the last 30 years of my life. In Summer of last year, I wanted to turn a corner with my health and started going to the gym and running, longer distances and more frequently as each week went by. I’m now taking on my biggest challenge to date, aiming to see in my 30th birthday in style, all while taking in London’s most famous landmarks as I rack up half a marathon in distance on a glorious April’s morning.
As with any milestone like this, putting it towards a charitable cause and a force for good is important to me. I’ve had my fair share of mental health struggles, but fortunately I’m here today from the support I’ve had around me - that isn’t always the case, and not everyone has that luxury. Every day in the UK, 18 people are lost to suicide. CALM’s vision is that no one feels like suicide is their only option.
We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We’ve got loads of tools and resources to help people find the support they need, including a life-saving helpline for people who can’t see a way forward, have lost someone to suicide, or are worried about their friends or loved ones.
£12.20 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
