Story

I am running the 2025 TCS London Marathon!

I always said I wanted to run the London Marathon before I was 40, and with 2025 being my 40th year (I know I only look 21 😂), I thought why not go out and achieve this personal goal, whilst also raising money for a worthy cause. I am privileged and honoured to be running and supporting East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA).

I had a personal experience with EAAA when they attended to an incident in my back garden in 2019, that unfortunately ended in tragedy. I was amazed at the calm professional actions of the EAAA team and their teamwork, not only attending to the patient, but also their empathetic support to others at the scene and myself.

This was replicated later at my place of work when a colleague became unwell, on this occasion the circumstances and the outcome was successful with the EAAA team and responders saving my colleagues life, who recovered and returned to work once rehabilitated.

Whilst wanting to achieve a personal goal, I also want to thank an amazing charity by raising money to support them to help save more lives.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance receives no regular government funding and relies entirely on the support of the community.

The crews are tasked an average of 7 times a day across the two bases, with each mission costing around £3,750. They can reach anywhere in the region within 25 minutes when every second can make the difference to a patient in their time of need.

We never expect to be faced with a tragedy, life threatening or catastrophic injuries in our lifetimes, yet these guys can be faced with it up to 7 times a day.

Thank you so much for supporting me, every penny will help to save lives across East Anglia and I am so grateful for your donation, whether that's £5 or £500!
