Martha Trust is transforming the lives of people with profound disabilities. With homes in Kent and Sussex, we ensure that the people who live with us lead active and fulfilling lives and get the most out of each and every day.

Story

Martha Trust support very special young people and adults with the most profound disabilities and offer lifetime care and much needed support for families and carers.

I was really humbled to go and visit the residents in their homes

I was inspired watching my friend Aaron Hill compete in the London Marathon last year for Martha Trust and this year , I want to follow in his footsteps and want to raise as much as I can for these amazing individuals who need all the support they can.

Adults with profound disabilities are amongst the most vulnerable in society, and need be nurtured and supported in a safe, loving environment which is what Martha offers.

Although the basic nursing care they provide is funded by local authorities through their duty of care, they have to raise over £255,000 in 2025 alone to provide education, specialised equipment, sensory technologies and to keep Martha Trust operating and maintained -all of which makes a difference between giving supportive, holistic care and just minding someone - the very worst cases of which too regularly make the news. It is an amazing local charity who need all the support they can get.
