A year ago my son Lucas was diagnosed with Becker Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive muscle-wasting condition.

His diagnosis came as a completely devastating shock and at this moment in time there is no cure.

I am running the Leeds half marathon to fundraise for Muscular Dystrophy UK, a charity that help fund research into effective treatment’s and support for those living with a muscle wasting condition, in the hope that one day there will be a cure.
