Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge – Workington to South Shields
We are a team of six riders (Luke, Dan, Ben, Boyd, Tim and Pete) taking on the iconic Coast to Coast (C2C) cycle route, travelling from Workington on the west coast of England to South Shields on the east coast. Covering approximately 60 miles per day over several days, we’ll be tackling challenging climbs, varied terrain, and long hours in the saddle to complete this incredible journey.
Supporting the riders will be two support vehicles (Paul and Skid), helping with logistics, equipment, safety, and rider welfare throughout the challenge. The support team will play a vital role in ensuring everyone can complete the route safely and successfully.
We are undertaking this challenge to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, an independent charity that provides lifesaving pre-hospital emergency care and air ambulance services across the Midlands. The charity receives no direct government funding for its daily operations and relies heavily on donations from the public to keep its helicopters and critical care teams responding to emergencies 24 hours a day.
Funds raised will primarily support the vital work of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. A small proportion of the donations will also help cover essential costs associated with the challenge, including minibus and van hire for the support vehicles, enabling the team to complete the event safely and effectively.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a difference. Thank you for supporting us and helping Midlands Air Ambulance continue to save lives across our communities.
