Luke's Mountain Ultramarathon for Mind

Luke Sprague is raising money for Mind

GB Ultras: Ultra Wales 50 Mile Race · 21 June 2025

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

On 21st June 2025, I’ll be running the Ultra Wales challenge: 50 miles of rugged terrain and steep climbs through the breathtaking but brutal Coed-y-Brenin.

With a total elevation of 2,898 meters (that’s nearly three times the height of Snowdon!), I have 20 hours to cross the finish line. And I’m doing it all to support Mind, a charity that’s close to my heart.

Ultra running is a personal test of resilience and strength, both physically and mentally. Covering 50 miles in a single stretch is intense, but compared to the struggles many people face with mental health every day, it’s a small feat. This race is my tribute to those fighting unseen battles.

Am I qualified to do this?

F*ck no! This is my first ultramarathon, and to be honest I'm bricking it.

Why Mind?

Mental health affects us all, whether personally or through someone we know. Mind’s work in providing vital mental health support and spreading awareness can truly change lives, especially for those struggling in silence. This run is my way of raising both awareness and funds to help Mind continue their essential work.

Help Me Make a Difference

I’d be incredibly grateful for any donation, big or small. Together, we can help Mind reach more people, provide more support, and work towards a world where mental health is talked about openly, without stigma.

Thank you for your support and encouragement – I’ll be taking it with me every step of the way.
