Story
The University of Leeds Men's Football Club will be completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge in order to raise money for PAPYRUS, the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK.
Many of our club members have sadly felt the devastating impact of suicide, giving this cause a special meaning for us. We aim to raise money to support this great charity, so that they can continue to provide fantastic services for anyone that feels they are suffering.
